Security Vetting Analysts jobs (full-time, permanent positions)

SIRRAS is seeking Vetting Analysts to join our Canberra team.  

About the role 
Our teams work closely together in support of our external workforce, ensuring services are completed according to the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), relevant legislature, service delivery requirements and best practice standards. As you grow, you’ll have the chance to mentor and train new Vetting Analysts, sharing your knowledge to help build our community of expertise. 

As a Security Vetting Analyst your responsibilities will include:   
  • Conducting security vetting assessments including collecting sensitive information through phone, video and/or in-person interviews with referees/applicants; applying evidenced based analysis to form risk-based professional determinations and compiling well written reports.  
  • Providing advice and guidance on routine and complex cases to staff and subcontractors, drawing upon your vetting knowledge and experience.  
  • Training staff and subcontractors through one-on-one mentoring, including evaluating mentee’s progress and providing feedback.  
  • Conducting quality assurance and liaising with subcontractors in remedial processes.    
  • Assisting with other vetting functions including administrative tasks and opportunities to create/deliver training resources, packages, or workshops.  
  • Establishing professional and positive relationships with clients, industry, and subcontractor stakeholders through excellent customer service.  
  • Managing your own vetting and quality assurance caseloads, adhering to quality and timeframe benchmarks.  
Requirements 
  • Security vetting, investigations, interviewing or human intelligence experience is highly desirable  
  • NV1 security clearance at minimum, or ability to obtain 
  • Australian citizenship 
  • Satisfactory workforce screening 
  • Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting) or ability to obtain
